Microeconomics Preface

This Microeconomics module is intended to be a supplement to an Introductory Microeconomics course. It is designed to provide the user with the basic concepts of Microeconomics, and to show how these concepts are applied in the real world.

Throughout the chapters of this module, are hyperlinks of keywords which link directly to the vocabulary definitions page (glossary). This module also features a search engine, interactive exercises, a help section, and links to external resources.

Requirements

Plugins: In order to view some of the interactive elements of this module, it is necessary to have the Macromedia Shockwave Deluxe Plugin installed, for your Netscape Navigator v2.0 or higher Web browser. If you don't already have this plugin installed, it can be dowloaded from the Macromedia Shockwave Download site. Detailed installation instructions are also available at the Macromedia site.
Minimum system requirements
- 386SX processor or higher
- 8 Mb RAM, 15Mb free disk space
- VGA monitor or better

Recommendations

For best performance and optimum screen viewing, the following is recommended, but not absolutely required:

Maximize the Netscape window (ie. make it full screen)
Hide the Netscape Directory buttons.
Hide the Netscape Location bar.
Use an 800x600 resolution with 256 colors or better.
To avoid errors, it is suggested to wait for pages containing interactive graphs to load completely before clicking on any of that pages' links.
